In 2011, François & Lucia Delfosse took over George’s in the Grove in Coconut Grove, not with the intention to make any changes but continue its's success story. But after more than 4 years, they’ve decided to go their own way. In 2014 the restaurant was totally redesigned to give it a fresh look and introduce a different atmosphere. After all, François & Lucia bring to the table loads of experience after an association with Le Bouche a Oreille, a famous chain of French restaurants in the East of France. So, while the champagne still flows for guests on their birthday, you can look forward to some exciting French platters and new burgers as well.
A varied spread for the discerning palate
At "George's in the Grove" we believe in serving up some truly delectable French bistro dishes. For continental food lovers there are risotto and pastas, carpaccio and much more. A hearty steak tartare awaits the discerning palate while you can always stop by for some incredibly appetizing Margherita or Quattro formaggi pizzas oozing with cheese and a choice of toppings. We pay special attention to each dish to make sure that it retains its traditional taste. This comes with combining the right ingredients, an art that our team has learnt to master. Taste our 3 Hours Braised Lamb Shank served with white beans and pesto sauce or the steamed mussels with white wine, garlic, and shallots, and you will realize how traditional we can get. We put our heart and soul into each dish which is also prepared with a lot of love. 2014 was also the introduction of our “Taste of the Grove”menu for 25$, offering the possibility to try and taste some our best dishes.
There’s nothing better than uncorking a bottle of wine to accompany your meal, and at George's in the Grove we have a fine selection to cater to even the most devout wine connoisseur. Merlots, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chianti are just a few of the premium reds while you can also choose from an enticing selection of white wines as well. Then again, there are always some great offers. Come over on a Wednesday night and you have a choice of premium drinks including Johnnie Walker, Jack Daniels, and gin and vodka only at $5. . Since 2014 we also added draft beers to our drink selection.
