What do disco balls, Zen music, and Buddha art have in common with French bistros? Not exactly the quintessential setting for a Francophile but that is what makes GEORGE’S in the Grove different. In 2011, François & Lucia Delfosse took over George’s in the Grove at Coconut Grove, not with the intention to make any changes but continue George’s success story of complimentary champagne and birthday celebrations, impeccable service, and great FOOD. After all, François & Lucia bring to the table loads of experience after an association with Le Bouche a Oreille, a famous chain of French restaurants in the East of France. So, while the champagne still flows for guests on their birthday, you can look forward to some exciting French platters and Yankee beef burgers as well. Yes, we deliver a diverse blend of French-American cuisine and an ever-evolving menu to add to all the mystery and excitement at George’s.
A varied spread for the discerning palate
At George’s in the Grove we believe in serving up some truly delectable French bistro dishes. For continental food lovers there are risotto and pastas, carpaccio and much more. A hearty steak tartare awaits the discerning palate while you can always stop by for some incredibly appetizing Margherita or Quattro formaggi pizzas oozing with cheese and a choice of toppings. We pay special attention to each dish to make sure that it retains its traditional taste. This comes with combining the right ingredients, an art that François & Luica have learnt to master. Taste our 3 Hours Braised Lamb Shank served with white beans and pesto sauce or the steamed mussels with white wine, garlic, and shallots, and you will realize how traditional we can get. We put our heart and soul into each dish which is also prepared with a lot of love. That’s what makes them more delectable.
Special offers more special than others
There’s nothing better than uncorking a bottle of wine to accompany your meal, and at George’s we have a fine selection to cater to even the most devout wine connoisseur. Merlots, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chianti are just a few of the premium reds while you can also choose from an enticing selection of white wines as well. Alexander Fleming said, “Penicillin cures, but wine makes people happy”, and we at George’s leave no stone or let’s say plate or glass unturned to live up to that. Then again, there are always some great offers. Come over on a Wednesday night and you have a choice of premium drinks including Johnnie Walker, Jack Daniels, and gin and vodka only at $5. But that’s a special price for men. Ladies are even more privileged to order any drinks at $1.
